Fumetto 07

by Suzanne on March 17th, 2007

For the next two weeks or so, I'll be exclusively blogging (in German) on my seekrit new comics blog, the FumettoBlog.

In case you've never heard of Fumetto Lucerne before, shame on you! it is Thee Best Comics Festival in our Galaxy® - not only, but also because Stéphane Blanquet designed the festival t-shirts.

Anyway, thanks to Lynn Kost - the new directeur artistique vedette - for approaching me with this idea and to the absolute l33t team behind le5 - above all Stefan - for hosting the blog and for trusting in Thee Power ov WP2.

The festival runs from 24th March - 1st April 2007 and, hopefully, I'll get enough time/caffeine/pretty pink pills/lobotomies to keep you posted on a more or less daily basis.

So far, I'm the only author, but if you are passionate about munkies & skwerls comics and want to become a co-author (it would be great to have someone from the French/Italian/Rumantsch/Swahili part of Helvetistan), please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll talk to Thee Manager™.

I hope to see you all at Fumetto 07 in a week and/or over at the FumettoBlog.

Please feel free to spread the word and link to the FumettoBlog. Here's a wee little 80x15 button:

New Kate O'Brien Prints

by Suzanne on March 11th, 2007

We're spring-cleaning our Shoppe and decided to complete the selection with a series of 6 new prints by Kate O'Brien - heard here during one of her recent shootings that we're now selling two prints from (c.f. "Sabine & Deer" and "Sabine" below):

Why we're being so kind to you, you ask? Well, simply because we love you tremendously and because we're seriously worried about all those walls left white, naked and ignored.

As a proud owner of one of Kate's prints, I can tell you that they look absolutely gorgeous framed - particularly in red-golden frames.

Each print comes in an edition of 100 only and will be signed and numbered by Kate.

Please use the form at the bottom of this post to order and/or visit our shop to order beautiful prints by other talented young artists.

May I ask you to make sure that you leave a working email address in the form so that I can get back to you.

Thank you very much indeed and have a lovely spring weekend.

Spring's Here - Polish Your Robotic Arms!

by Suzanne on March 11th, 2007

Hi, I'm Suzanne. I used to blog here on a more or less regular basis and you might remember me from the driver's ed film "Alice's Adventures through the Windshield Glass".

Anyway. I'm back and I have absolutely nothing to report. The fact that I still feel the urge to write these lines is the final proof that I'm a real "blogger". Yay!

Still, the world around me has evolved tremendously in these past few weeks:

There was a total lunar eclipse, the Swiss finally went to war against neighbouring Lichtenstein, monsieur Jean Baudrillard passed away, Jennifer Mee stopped hiccuping, my armadillo got quarantined due to a maggot infection, I ate 1.7 litres of Mövenpick® of Switzerland's caramelita ice cream in less than 34 minutes, I had 9 nosebleeds stigmata and 5 headaches, I saw the Chi Rho symbol on the steamy bathroom tiles, I hit myself 8 times on the head with a rather sharp object because the NIN concert at Volkshaus is sold out, I got a beautiful framed drawing from Jessica McCourt, an adorable print from Kate O'Brien & a rather obscene lollipop from the sweet Jessica Joslin, I got lost in the forest (twice) and I got a spam email that said "Pony rides - 25 cents - 2 for 50!"

What wondrous times we live in.

P.S.: For those who wondered: Yes, I have captchas in all my contact / ordering forms now. So it's totally normal if you see either of these messages after sending something to me:
