One of the most memorable art discoveries I made this year was undoubtedly Jonas Burgert‘s gigantic medicine man works of vibrant madness and uncensored genius. I first came face-to-canvas with one of his works at a horribly curated show at Haunch of Venison (that was apparently too embarrassing to be listed in their exhibition archive) and his visions have pleasantly haunted my mind ever since.

So if you happen to live/find yourself in Tübingen, Germany, please don’t miss his Lebendversuch show at the Kunsthalle.

Opening reception is this Saturday at 6 PM and the works will be on display until early March 2011. Further details below.
