I Heal You by Gehard Demetz
Two wood sculpturists are currently haunting Italy with two individual exhibitions: Rubik’s Cube anatomy distorter genius (who I always misspell with an extra “R”) Gehard Demetz is showing in Catanzaro at a space that took me about 6 minutes to spell properly because I’m retarded while the more traditional Bruno Walpoth is exhibiting in Brescia.
My Headphones Saved My Life by Gehard Demetz
Please note that the Demetz show Mutterland, l’età estranea at Fondazione Rocco Guglielmo can be previewed in its entirety here. The pictures I chose are works from his 2007 oeuvre with titles somewhat inspired by Björk lyrics.
No preview for the Walpoth show has gone online yet, so keep an eye on the gallery website.
No, I don’t know either why these pictures are all so similar in style. Maybe they have the same artwork photographer? It sure is curious.
Please find detailled visiting information for both shows below.
