'As I begin a painting the subject physically, emotionally and spiritually reveals itself to me. Each brushstroke speaks to the subsequent stroke, carrying out a dialogue, linking my subject and me as if we were meeting for the first time. I find this uncertainty exciting and embrace the indecisive nature of my work.'

(Kris Lewis about the process of painting)

MOVING IMAGES

Still from Innocence

Innocence by Scott Spencer - In his amazing stop-motion video, Scott tells us a heartwarming story about slaughter, agony and mecha horror little girls with pink plush bunnies. Awwww.

Otherwise by Morcheeba - For everyone who misses Brighton as much as I do *sniff*

Don’t Fuck With Love by The Sad Little Stars - 'A cautionary tale in three fantastical dimensions, two star-crossed lovers flirt their way through a magical and luscious 1920s paper pop-up New York City.'

Kure Kure Takora - The psychedelic adventures of my new tentacled friend Kure Kure Takora. N.B.: Wurzeltod™ can not be made responsible for acute brain damage after watching this video. (via BoingBoing)

POINTLESS PERSONAL REMARKS THAT NO-ONE IS GOING TO READ ANYWAY

N° 1

I know I owe a gazillion of you emails. Some of you have been waiting for weeks, some even for months. I'm deeply sorry about this constant mailboxophobia of mine, but I'm terribly busy at the moment. Please rest assured that none of your emails are lost or forgotten, and that I will reply to them one fine day. My sincere apologies... *sighs*

N° 2

I decided that you should not live another day without the thrilling knowledge that I'm the 5th Google Image Search hit for "cute armadillo". Weeee!

Poor Damien is stuck in some mad fiesta in Valencia. He missed his plane and now he will probably be eaten alive by Spanish cannibals.

It's all my fault, I shouldn't have let him go. *sniffy*

Are you talking about living or dead armadillos? You must understand that I'm not very good when it comes to looking after living and breathing thingies. I tend to forget to give them water and food. So a dead one would be much handier. Thankiiiiiies! :)
