Blauen und weißen.Wie Tauben sind sie weitergeflogen,
Mit Wangen, wilden und heißen.
Hoch in warmen, schelmischen Händen
Haschender Sonne
Geschwungene Strahlen.
Hellbehende Wonne

INTERNA
I. Thee Shoppe will stay online – if you like it or not. Just try to ignore that pink tab on the nav bar if you have a problem with it. New artists will be added soon. You could do me a favour by visiting my rather vast artist link list and select a few artists you’d like to order prints from in the future.
II. The choice of artists will remain the same, i.e. I won’t add internationally famous and commercially “successful” artists to the shop because
a) they don’t need my support to sell their artworks.
b) I’m legally not entitled to sell their prints since most of them have their own representatives.
c) you don’t have the kind of money it takes to buy such editions anyway.
d) trust me on this.
III. I won’t charge any commission. Just because I’m Swiss doesn’t mean I’m a capitalistic bastard. You can stop sending me emails about my part in the “Nazi Gold Affair” now – I wasn’t really in charge of the Swiss government back then. However, these people would love to shred your letters hear from you:

MOVING IMAGES

Still from The Olde Headboard
• The Olde Headboard – Another adorable video for Rasputina. I’d love to find out who directed this clip. Any ideas? It looks quite Sigismondiesque to me…
• The Curious Passions of Sergeant Bertrand – Stand-alone short film from Bret Wood’s feature movie Psychopathia Sexualis in which a case of necrophilia is dramatised through Victorian-style shadow play. Click on ‘The Curious Passions of Sergeant Bertrand’ on the right. Very Blanquetesque.
• The Tale of How – An enchanting animated short story produced by the Black Heart Gang (via the amazing WurzelForum).
• The Eraser – Beautifully cryptic promotional flash website for Thom Yorke‘s new album.
• Smells like a Ukulele – For those of you who still haven’t seen the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain‘s hilarious interpretation of Nirvana’s pièce de résistance, watch this now.

I made the list alphabetical. With bold initials. Especially for you. Isn’t it great? This way you can just stick a post-it (or a chewing gum) onto your screen and continue from the next letter tomorrow. Hurrah for the alphabet!

Psychopathia Sexualis
This looks damn cool, Psychopathia Sexualis – Tales of Deviance and Forbidden Desire From the Case Studies Of Krafft-Ebing. The film, written and directed by Bret Wood, it employs a multi-narrative structure, dramatizing the case histories of turn-of-…

The Blackheart Gang presents a fantastic short-story about an old octopus with a tree in his back: The Tale of How. It’s a marvellous animation, that also has dodos. (via Suzanne G.)…

The picture of Kate Chase Norcross is great. I was compelled to draw a picture of her. I think it came out well.

“The Olde Headboard” is by Lisa Rubisch, who apparently did just one music video before in 2000. Here is an article with some references to her (along with a photograph) from the the New York Times.

Thank you so much, Kid37. I really like the fact that Rasputina are so picky about their video clip directors (…. and couturiers).
@Derek: And I’m happy to exhibit your artworks on my site. It’s a great honour, you know. And guess what was in my letterbox the other day? Yes, “Wingnut” and “Dirteater”. They’re so lovely. And thank you kindly for the Cthulhu drawing. You’re simply the best!
