Ooooh! It's gonna be a terribly enchanting weekend for you, dear citizens of Waterloo, Canada:

Wurzeltod®'s favourite porcelain doll artist Shary Boyle (previously featured here) will have a solo exhibit entitled Aspects & Excess featuring a selection from seven years of miniature sculpture at the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery. Yay!

The exhibition opens Sunday, January 14th, from 2 - 5 PM and runs until April 1st, 2007.

Shary Boyle will give an artist's talk from 1 - 2 PM which I wouldn't miss under any circumstances if I were you (weddings, childbirths, diarrhoea, earthquakes, plagues of locusts and the Apocalypse per se included).

Oh, and please don't smash any of her delicate pieces. You're not in Cambridge.

And for all those of us who can't attend her show: Shary recently updated her sculpture portfolio with some stunning works from 2k6, including the beautiful Snowball doll. Scorchio!

In other news, I'm deeply saddened to hear that Robert Anton Wilson died this morning. May you forever rest in peace.

And on a happier note, I'd like to wish you all the best for your next 101 years on this planet, Dr. Albert Hofmann. Happy 101st birthday to you! I haven't seen you cycling around Basel lately, but I'm somewhat sure you're having a ball right now...

Will do! I think he moved to the countryside though. I used to see him in the library a lot, but not recently.
