Tree of the Evil Eagle by Eric Beltz, graphite on paper, 2008

I recently rediscovered the meticulous illustrative works of Eric Beltz thanks to the editors of Flaunt - one of the many mags I don't have the financial resources for... bugger... - who decided to put him on the cover of Issue #94.

Anyway, monsieur Beltz is currently exhibiting some of his recent graphite-on-paper works in a group show at Otis College L.A. which opened last Saturday.

Looky See - A Summer Show will be on display until mid-September. Some Fred Stonehouse works will be featured too. Further details below.

In related news, this unspectacular view of Eric's desk makes me unspeakably happy because it tremendously reminds me of the desk Alex & I share (MacBook cable, lip balm, piles of books, letters & Post Office receipts, the essential jar of pointless pennies, red bandana, etc.).

On show: July 26 - September 13, 2008

Closing reception: Saturday, September 13, 3 - 5 PM

Featuring: Eric Beltz, Fred Stonehouse, Sandow Birk, Ruby Osorio, et al.
