Twin brothers Tomer and Asaf Hanuka are the type of artists who disappear from the internets every once in a while only to resurface months later with something truly beautiful and epic.

This time, they've been working on an animated series based on the crime novels of Jerome Charyn entitled Hard Apple.

The artworks are pencilled by Asaf and coloured by Tomer and I guess it's rather evident that I'm particularly enamoured with the meta art in the second picture.

As these pictures are only development stages, you can surely imagine that the finished project will be quite a blast.

In mildly related comics news, a huge thank you to the great Aeron of MonsterBrains fame for scanning Thing That Drifted Ashore by Junji Ito. You can (and should!) read the whole thing here.
